Patient-Centered Care

To Restore Your Mobility

“I am committed to providing my patients with the highest quality of care with minimally invasive procedures to help them get back to doing the things they love.”

-Dr. Catherine Cahill
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon

About Me

Dr. Cahill received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, graduating at the top of her class. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and earned scholarship distinction from the medical college for being a “complete physician.” She then completed five years of Orthopedic Surgery training at Baylor College of Medicine before completing subspecialty training in adult hip and knee replacement and hip preservation. Her fellowships include the renowned Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston and a Fellowship in Hip Preservation completed at Inselspital Hospital in Bern, Switzerland.

Dr. Cahill is trained in nonoperative and operative musculoskeletal care and specializes in hip and knee surgery. She is affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) where she is a volunteer professor in the Joseph Barnhart Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Cahill is a passionate local and international volunteer who participates in yearly mission trips to Guatemala through the Faith in Practice charity organization. She takes interest in mentoring within her profession volunteering with the Perry Initiative to encourage young women to enter the field of orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Cahill and her associates at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Hospital through research were able to dramatically lower their patients’ complication and infection rates for total hip and knee replacement using a program of rigorous screening and corrections of risk factors prior to surgery. She continues to work toward improving outcomes based on the most up to date evidence and research.

Dr. Cahill enjoys playing volleyball, reading and spending time with her children. The best advice Dr. Cahill ever received was, “There are givers and takers in the world. Be a giver.” And her favorite book is, “The Pillars of the Earth” by Ken Follett.
